The Department of Classics teaches courses in the ancient Greek and Latin languages, and on subjects related to Greek and Roman history, archeology, literature, and culture. We emphasize an integration of teaching and research, where faculty and students collaborate to make significant new contributions to our knowledge of the ancient world.
